Update [ ]: Hold on, it isn't just Euro Truck Simulator 2 coming to PS5? Apparently not, as a PS Store page for American Truck Simulator has now been uncovered.
This means that developer SCS Software is bringing both of its hugely popular PC titles to Sony's current-gen console. Again, as mentioned in the original article below, the existence of these PS Store listings suggests that an official announcement is incoming.
It's obviously Gamescom this week, so an imminent reveal makes total sense.
Original Story: It looks like Euro Truck Simulator will finally be making its way to the PlayStation Nation at some point in the relatively near future, as evidenced by a fresh PS Store leak .
A PS5 page for Euro Truck Simulator 2 has been spotted (thanks jack_jab on Reddit), suggesting that an announcement is imminent. The listing doesn't have a product description yet, or a release date — but you can add the title to your wishlist.
Euro Truck Simulator and its sibling, American Truck Simulator, are pretty much the pinnacle of road-based sims, and they've been around for ages on PC. We always found it strange that developer SCS Software never pushed for console ports — but hey, better late than never!
As the name implies, Euro Truck Simulator 2 has you haul cargo all across Europe. You're encouraged to obey the rules of the road, and you can work towards establishing a trucking empire to rack up some serious cash.
It's worth pointing out that ETS2 — as it's commonly abbreviated — has been expanded upon numerous times over the years. Loads of different DLCs have added new locations and new types of deliveries, and so we'll have to wait and see what this PS5 version actually includes at launch.
